A Bit About Us
TFP Nurture Fertility was founded back in 1991 by the University of Nottingham, with a focus on IVF research and innovative treatment methods. In 2014, we became part of TFP Fertility, working alongside esteemed consultants and scientists who bring a wealth of experience to the table. Our medical team is continually engaged in research, ensuring we deliver outstanding success rates and the highest level of care. With a satellite clinic in Burton, we’re committed to placing your needs front and center.
You can easily find us just a couple of minutes off Junction 25 of the M1, with plenty of free parking available.
Our Treatments
When it comes to treatments, we offer a variety, including:
- In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF): This process involves retrieving eggs from the ovaries after stimulation and mixing them with sperm in a laboratory. The resulting embryos develop over 5-6 days before being transferred to the birth parent or preserved for future use. If you’re curious, you can check out this excellent resource on IVF.
- Intrauterine Insemination (IUI): A simpler method where healthy sperm is directly injected into the uterus, particularly suitable for same-sex female couples using a sperm donor.
- Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI): An advanced step during IVF for those facing male factor infertility, involving the injection of a single sperm into an egg.
- Pre-implantation Genetic Testing (PGT): This checks for genetic or chromosomal issues in embryos, helping to identify the healthiest embryo to lower the risk of miscarriage.
- Egg Freezing: This allows individuals to preserve their fertility and choose when to have children later on.
- Donation: For some, the journey to parenthood relies on donors. We’re here to help you navigate this process, whether you’re exploring options as a same-sex couple, solo parent, or facing challenges with your own eggs or sperm.
We also host free information events where you can learn about our treatments and ask questions—check out our upcoming events!
Our Team
Our team is composed of experienced doctors, nurses, and embryologists, all committed to supporting you emotionally and physically throughout this journey. We’ve seen many success stories, like that of Emma and Liam, who initially felt overwhelmed but found joy in their journey with us.
