“Wait, She Was Conceived with a Syringe?!”

I faced a long and tough battle with Vulvodynia and Vaginismus, which brought so much physical pain and emotional turmoil. There were moments when I truly believed that having a child was an impossible dream for me. Luckily, I discovered an incredible women’s health physical therapist who guided me towards healing, but I still had many hurdles to overcome. Then, by chance, I stumbled across an ad on social media about at-home insemination. My partner and I decided to give it a shot since it seemed like our best option given my situation.

We tried the kit twice, and to our amazement, we were pregnant! Now we have a wonderful daughter who fills our lives with joy. Sometimes, we look at her and think, “Wow! She came from a syringe?!” (along with a lot of determination and love, of course!). Huge thanks to everyone who made this possible! For anyone out there feeling lost or hopeless due to Vulvodynia or Vaginismus, know that it is possible to become a parent, and I hope my story inspires you.
