When the pandemic disrupted their IVF journey, they decided to give at-home insemination a try.
My partner and I have faced our fair share of fertility challenges over the years. Thankfully, we were blessed with a wonderful little boy who was a delightful surprise during our initial struggles. We had dreams of expanding our family, but for the past two years, we encountered roadblocks. Knowing that my husband had some male factor issues, he started taking medication to improve his sperm count. I did conceive last year, but sadly experienced a miscarriage around eight weeks. As I turned 35, the age that many consider a ticking clock for motherhood, we opted to pursue IVF. We were all set for our cycle when suddenly, COVID-19 hit, halting everything.
Feeling a bit desperate and wanting to take control, I stumbled upon an at-home insemination kit that caught my attention. Coincidentally, just as we received the kit, our fertility doctor was able to resume our appointments. We decided to give it a shot, using the kit for two consecutive nights. Fast forward to now, and we’re thrilled to share that we’re almost 22 weeks pregnant with our second child! We couldn’t be more joyful and relieved that we not only conceived but also saved a bunch of time and money in the process. Huge thanks to the kit!
