My partner and I, a same-sex couple, decided we wanted to add another little one to our family. We thought about home insemination before considering more invasive options like IUI or IVF. Initially, we looked at sperm banks but eventually opted to find a donor ourselves. Right from the get-go, we were set on using a specific kit for home insemination, as I had come across a lot of positive experiences shared online.
My advice for anyone trying to conceive is to do thorough research. I dove into various methods to enhance fertility. My partner took prenatal vitamins, added a primrose supplement to her routine, and enjoyed fertility tea every morning. We also monitored her ovulation cycle for about three months.
We inseminated twice during her peak fertility days, ensuring the sperm would be ready when her egg was released. Timing is crucial! We’re thrilled to announce that we’re expecting our baby in April 2021.
