Hey there, friends!

We wanted to give you an update since our last note on April 8th. We’ve been keeping a close eye on all the COVID-19 updates happening in the Bay Area. Your health and safety, along with that of our team, is our top concern. We’re following guidelines from health authorities like the CDC and local health departments, as well as insights from our skilled clinical team.

Resuming Treatment Cycles

Starting Monday, May 4th, we’ll be carefully resuming certain treatment cycles. If you’re planning to start any of the following cycles, you might be able to kick things off with your next period:

  • IVF for embryo creation (Freeze All, PGT-A)
  • Egg freezing
  • Oocyte thaw for embryo creation
  • Frozen donor egg for embryo creation

To ensure everyone’s safety, we’re implementing social distancing measures in our clinics. This means a gradual restart of treatments to keep the number of people in the facility manageable. If your cycle was affected by COVID-19 and you haven’t spoken with our Clinical Coordinator yet, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. Our team will help you review your treatment plan and any health updates needed before moving forward.

Going forward, we ask that all patients call us on the first day of their period. If you’re unsure who to contact, just give us a ring.

Unfortunately, we are still pausing any cycles that aim for an immediate pregnancy. Our medical leadership will be evaluating these treatment types weekly to determine when it’s safe to proceed. This includes:

  • Intrauterine insemination (IUI)
  • Frozen embryo transfer (FET)
  • Fresh embryo transfer

We understand how hard it can be to face delays, and we’re here to support you through your journey to parenthood.

Onsite Safety Protocol Updates

We’ve made significant adjustments to our safety measures to keep everyone protected while receiving care. Here are some key changes:

  • Face Masks: All patients are required to wear face masks during their visits. We suggest wearing one when arriving and leaving the clinic too. If we provide a mask, please bring it for your future appointments.
  • Screening at Entry: Everyone coming into the clinic will undergo a temperature check and be screened for any COVID-19-related symptoms. We appreciate your understanding as we prioritize safety.
  • Guest Policy: To maintain social distancing, only the scheduled patient can enter the facility. Unfortunately, visitors and children aren’t allowed right now. We apologize for this inconvenience but want to keep everyone safe.
  • Cycle Disruption Policy: If you show any symptoms during your treatment, or if you test positive for COVID-19, we will need to cancel or suspend your cycle. If that happens prior to retrieval, we’ll issue a credit based on the services used during your cycle.

New Patient Consults

We’re still offering New Patient Appointments through phone or video calls, and we can arrange for an expedited in-office ultrasound when it’s safe to do so. To schedule your appointment, just reach out to us.

We’re committed to helping you prepare for treatment without unnecessary delays. We can’t wait to continue supporting you on your path to parenthood. If you’re interested in more insights, check out our blog post on navigating parenthood for expert guidance.
