Hey friends! It’s National Infertility Awareness Week, and we’re excited to share some insights with you throughout the week. Each day, we’ll be dropping a new fertility fact that you won’t want to miss.

Today’s Fact: What is infertility and who does it affect?

Infertility refers to a condition of the reproductive system that is diagnosed after a couple has tried for a year to conceive through unprotected, well-timed intercourse. However, if the woman has experienced multiple miscarriages and is under 35, she may also be diagnosed sooner. For women over 35, the diagnosis comes after just six months of trying.

It’s important to recognize that infertility is a medical issue. About 30% of cases are attributed to female factors, another 30% to male factors, and the rest are either due to issues in both partners or remain unexplained.
