Dr. Emily Carter truly understands the IVF journey – she’s been through it herself to freeze her eggs. This personal experience gives her a unique perspective on the emotional, time-consuming, and financial challenges that come with IVF. From a young age, she was drawn to medicine, particularly fascinated by science, genetics, and reproduction. This passion guided her to obstetrics and gynecology. During her medical training, she discovered reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI), and instantly knew she had found her niche.
Dr. Carter prides herself on being present for her patients. She ensures that she sees them during nearly every visit, whether it’s for an ultrasound, hysterosalpingography, or a consultation. This hands-on approach means she’s there to answer questions and address any concerns while staying updated on her patients’ health. During initial visits, she takes the time to explain everything thoroughly, often using drawings to simplify complex topics.
Education and Training
Dr. Carter is board certified in both reproductive endocrinology & infertility and obstetrics & gynecology. She earned her Bachelor of Science in biology from a well-known university before completing her Medical Doctorate at a prestigious institution through an accelerated six-year program. While studying, she also worked as an EMT, gaining invaluable experience. After finishing her residency in obstetrics and gynecology, she completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Dr. Carter has been part of our team since 2014.
