Maternity FAQ

Need more assistance? We’re here to help!

Can I fit into Millie’s Care?

Most pregnancies are low-risk (about 80%), with another 10-15% classified as moderate-risk. Millie is designed for these cases, so most pregnancies will be a suitable match. We currently do not accept high-risk pregnancies but can provide referrals.

What about Insurance?

We accept all PPO and HMO plans (HMO via Brown & Toland, now Altais) from major insurance providers, including Aetna and Cigna. If you’re unsure about your coverage, we can help clarify your options.

How Much Will Care Cost?

All clinical appointments, lab tests, ultrasounds, and your labor and delivery experience at our partnered hospitals will be billed to your insurance. We also provide in-network lactation services and do not charge extra for the Millie app or remote monitoring devices.

Midwives vs. OB-GYNs: Why Both Matter

Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) are experts trained as both Registered Nurses and Midwives, ideal for low-to-moderate risk pregnancies. Conversely, OB-GYNs are medical doctors equipped to handle more complex cases. Together, they ensure a balanced approach to maternity care.
