How We Conceived After a Pregnancy Loss

Hey friends! I wanted to share our journey to parenthood, especially after the heartache of losing our pregnancy in 2021. My partner, Alex, faced performance anxiety, and the side effects from his medications made trying to conceive really stressful. It felt like we were stuck in a frustrating cycle.

While searching for solutions, I came across a website dedicated to home insemination. I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” The process helped us ease the pressure around intimacy, allowing us to enjoy each other without the stress of trying to conceive. After using this method for five cycles, we were over the moon to discover we were pregnant again! We’re currently 20 weeks along, expecting our little one in May 2023! If you’re curious about due dates, check out this post on calculating your baby’s expected arrival date.

For anyone struggling with similar challenges, I highly recommend looking into fertility boosters for men, as they can make a difference, according to experts at Make a Mom. Also, if you want to learn more about the journey of pregnancy, the NIH has some great resources on pregnancy and home insemination.

We’re so grateful for this second chance and hope our story can inspire others facing similar situations.

Our experience highlights how a supportive method can ease the emotional strain of conceiving after a loss. With patience and the right resources, we found joy in our journey again.
