Our experience with fertility treatments was nothing short of a rollercoaster ride, filled with both challenges and triumphs. We met Dr. Tom Richards during our journey, and his genuine compassion stood out to us. He was refreshingly candid, never sugar-coating our situation but instead providing hope grounded in reality. He reassured us that regardless of how our treatments unfolded, we would always return to our wonderful son, Ajay, which significantly eased the pressure we felt.

Throughout our journey, we encountered numerous caring professionals, including Dr. Emily Chen and Gina’s OBGYN, Dr. Lisa Green, who made us feel valued as individuals rather than just another case. After trying IUI cycles and Clomid without any success, we were left puzzled by the lack of answers. Ultimately, Dr. Richards recommended we jump straight into an IVF cycle to address several factors at once, and we decided to take that leap of faith. To our joy, we were successful on our first attempt! Of the four embryos transferred, two took, leading us to the birth of our twins, Kiran and Tara, who are now 2.5 years old.

As if our family was not big enough, we welcomed our fourth child, Maya, into our lives in February 2006, adopting her from the same orphanage as Ajay. Our love for all our children knows no bounds, and we cherish every single moment of their growth and development. It’s astonishing how rapidly our lives transformed from busy professionals tackling corporate responsibilities to hands-on parents juggling diapers and toys. Our conversations have shifted, with corporate jargon being replaced by adorable baby talk more often than not.

The joy of parenthood is truly immeasurable. Whether it’s splashing water during bath time or reading bedtime stories, these fleeting moments are invaluable. We find ourselves trying to soak in every experience as our kids grow at lightning speed. Life outside of parenting is still bustling. While I (Gina) chose to step back from the corporate scene to focus on nurturing our children, I (Sridhar) have pivoted to run my own consulting business. This change has given me the flexibility to be more present at home, a blessing in a life that keeps us constantly on our toes.
