Hey friends! We recently had the amazing opportunity to attend the annual meeting of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) in Boston. It’s a fantastic event where professionals from around the globe come together to share insights and innovations in reproductive medicine. Our team, including both lab and clinical experts, was eager to dive into the latest research and training.

During the conference, we were thrilled to showcase our research on time-lapse imaging of embryos. This technology is revolutionizing how we assess embryo quality during IVF. Traditionally, we would check on embryos daily or every other day, but now we can continuously monitor their development without disturbing them. It’s super cool!

One of our big findings was that some embryos show an unusual puckering of the cell membrane right after fertilization, which seems to correlate with lower chances of successful development. We noticed this abnormal behavior in about 31% of embryos, and it could help us make better decisions when selecting the best embryos for transfer. This means we can improve the chances of success for our patients.

If you’re curious about this technology or want to know more about how it could be used during your IVF journey, feel free to reach out at your next visit! Also, if you’re interested in learning more about support during your fertility journey, check out our blog post featuring Emma Roberts, your friendly counselor, for helpful insights.

For those exploring at-home options, you might want to check out this artificial insemination kit which could be a useful resource. And for more information about pregnancy and home insemination, the CDC offers excellent resources that you might find helpful.

To summarize, our participation at ASRM not only highlights our commitment to advancing reproductive medicine but also showcases the cutting-edge tools we employ to enhance our patients’ success rates. We’re excited about the future and can’t wait to share more updates with you!
