In 2004, Jennifer underwent surgery to remove a tumor from her pituitary gland. Doctors informed her that while she could still get pregnant, the process would be expensive, and there were doubts about her ability to carry a child. Despite the challenges, she and her partner, Mark, dreamed of starting a family.
One day in September, while chatting with a friend about fostering, Jennifer met a kind-hearted woman who asked if she had considered surrogacy. Jennifer shared her concerns about the costs, but to her surprise, the woman offered to be their surrogate! After consulting with a lawyer, they discovered that surrogacy was indeed a viable option for them.
Excited about this new opportunity, they decided to order an insemination kit. On September 18, 19, and 20, Jennifer used the kit with the help of their surrogate. Just a couple of weeks later, on October 3rd, they received the thrilling news: their surrogate was pregnant! During their first appointment, they learned that they were expecting twins!
“We feel incredibly blessed and couldn’t have achieved this without the support we received throughout our journey,” Jennifer shared. “Everyone kept asking if we did IVF because it happened so quickly!” Their twins are due to arrive on June 14, 2020.
