Hey everyone! We’re thrilled to introduce Dr. Alex Thompson, MBA, Ph.D., HCLD, CC, as the new Executive Lab Director at Pacific Fertility Center Los Angeles (PFCLA)! With a wealth of experience and a passion for reproductive health, Dr. Thompson is here to help our patients realize their dreams of parenthood. Let’s give him a warm welcome!
About Dr. Thompson
Dr. Thompson comes to us with impressive credentials, holding certifications from the American Association of Bioanalysts as a High Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD), Clinical Consultant (CC), and Technical Supervisor (TS). He has an extensive background in patient care, lab management, and academic research. Dr. Thompson earned his Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut and completed his PhD in Molecular Physiology and Biophysics at the University of Vermont. His research focused on implantation and how the body adapts during pregnancy. He even went on to become a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Ob/Gyn at Vermont. In 2023, he added an MBA from the Mason School of Business at William and Mary to his impressive resume.
With over 20 years in the field, Dr. Thompson has been recognized by esteemed organizations, including the Society for Gynecologic Investigation and the American Physiological Society, and has held leadership roles, such as President of the College of Reproductive Biology. His commitment to advancing reproductive health is clear, and he’s eager to mentor the next generation of health professionals.
Dr. Thompson’s Role at PFCLA
In his new position, Dr. Thompson will oversee our advanced embryology and andrology labs. He’ll collaborate closely with our team of experts to ensure we’re providing top-notch care to our patients. He’ll also be developing new lab protocols and making sure we meet all regulatory standards.
We’re really excited about Dr. Thompson joining the PFCLA family! His expertise and enthusiasm for reproductive health will undoubtedly benefit our team and the patients we serve. We can’t wait to see the positive impact he’ll have on our community.
