Q&A with Dr. Emily Clarke:

We had a chance to chat with Dr. Clarke about her journey and her role in the field:

What inspired you to become a doctor?

“My father, who is an anesthesiologist, took me to a knee surgery when I was 12. That experience ignited my passion for medicine.”

How did you become interested in reproductive endocrinology?

“My love for women’s health grew during college, where I explored both the biological and social aspects of reproductive rights. I realized that Obstetrics and Gynecology was the perfect fit for me, allowing me to support women during significant moments in their lives.”

What hobbies do you enjoy outside of work?

“I love cooking while listening to NPR, and I enjoy trying out new restaurants. I also like outdoor activities like hiking and skiing, along with running and yoga to stay fit.”

What’s something surprising about you?

“I love to cook but I rarely follow recipes, which means I’m not the best baker!”

What do you love most about being part of this team?

“Working with a team that shares the same goal of providing exceptional care is incredibly rewarding.”

How do you support patients facing infertility challenges?

“I understand that the journey can be long and emotional, so I focus on building a supportive relationship with my patients to enhance their experience.”
