In a heartwarming twist of fate, a good friend of ours agreed to be our sperm donor after many heartfelt discussions. However, with him living miles away on the opposite coast and us navigating the pandemic, transporting sperm turned out to be a challenge. After some testing on both sides, we decided to embark on a cross-country road trip with our two dogs in tow! We found a cozy apartment in the same city where our donor lived and settled in for seven months—a silver lining in the midst of Covid.

Using the at-home insemination kit, we managed to conceive on our fifth attempt. We patiently waited through the first trimester and made sure we were fully vaccinated before tackling the long drive back home. Now, at 23 weeks pregnant, we’re thrilled to be expecting our little one in early December! Everyone is doing great, and we’re absolutely overjoyed to become parents!

The at-home insemination kit was incredibly user-friendly, and the support team was fantastic whenever we had questions. I reached out once for advice on timing, and they suggested starting at the first sign of the LH rise. That’s actually a day or two earlier than we had been trying, and I truly believe that guidance (along with the amazing kit) led us to our big fat positive! So much appreciation for the support we received!

In summary, our journey from coast to coast led us to a beautiful new chapter in our lives, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome our little bundle of joy!
