Founder & Lead Reviewer, HomeConception Reviews

Based in Southern California. Single mother of 4 (ages 3–12). On a mission to give every family honest, data-driven guidance on at-home fertility products.

My Story

When my partner and I decided to try for our youngest, we were told IVF would cost upward of $15,000. As a single mother already raising three kids, that number felt impossible. I started researching alternatives and discovered at-home intracervical insemination. After weeks of digging through conflicting information and misleading marketing, I ordered a kit, followed the science, and conceived my fourth child at home.

That experience changed everything. I realized there were thousands of families in the same position—priced out of clinics, overwhelmed by options, and unsure who to trust. In 2022, I started HomeConception Reviews from my kitchen table with one goal: give people the unbiased, hands-on information I wish I had.

Since then, I have personally purchased and tested more than 20 fertility products, consulted with reproductive health specialists, and built the most comprehensive independent review site for at-home insemination kits. Every review on this site reflects real, hands-on experience—not press releases or affiliate talking points.

My Testing Philosophy

I believe every family deserves transparent information about the products they are trusting with something as important as conception. Here is how I approach every review:

  • I buy everything myself. No free samples, no gifted units. Every product is purchased at full retail price so there is zero obligation to any brand.
  • Hands-on evaluation comes first. I assess build quality, packaging, ease of use, instruction clarity, and component safety before writing a single word.
  • Data over marketing. I look at published research, community-reported success rates, and clinical feedback—not just what the brand claims on its website.
  • Real-world context matters. I consider price, accessibility, customer support responsiveness, and whether a product actually serves the people who need it most—single mothers, LGBTQ+ couples, and families who cannot afford clinic-based fertility treatment.
  • I update reviews regularly. Products change, prices shift, and new competitors enter the market. I re-test and revise to keep every review current.
