After experiencing their first loss in December 2018, Jamie and Alex were heartbroken but determined to try again. They decided to use a donor for at-home insemination. While researching options, they discovered a syringe method that had previously let them down when they tried it back in August 2020. This time, they opted for a different approach and found a reliable at-home insemination kit that made all the difference.
In their latest attempt, they inseminated on the first day of their peak ovulation as indicated by a Clearblue test, as well as the day of and after the peak. They only needed to use the at-home kit once during their peak day, and immediately followed up with a soft cup to help maximize their chances. Their donor also performed direct insemination into the soft cup on the other occasions.
To their immense joy, they successfully conceived this cycle! They are thrilled to share that this little one is their true rainbow baby, conceived during the month of pride! The estimated due date is February 2022.
