Overcoming Challenges on the Path to Parenthood with MakeAmom

My partner, Alex, and I embarked on our journey to conceive for nearly a year. Despite our relentless efforts, each month concluded with disappointment. In an attempt to enhance our chances, I consulted a urologist to address concerns regarding testosterone levels and semen quality. I also began taking daily vitamins aimed at improving male fertility. Meanwhile, Alex underwent five months of Clomid treatment, but unfortunately, it proved ineffective.

As our optimism began to wane, we sought the expertise of a fertility specialist. After conducting a variety of blood tests and examinations, we learned that Alex was in excellent health. A semen analysis I underwent several months later showed promising results; however, our doctor was unable to pinpoint why conception remained elusive. The recommendation was to pursue another round of Clomid and consider intrauterine insemination (IUI). Understandably, Alex was apprehensive about additional Clomid cycles due to potential long-term effects, but we were open to exploring IUI.

A week following our consultation, Alex discovered MakeAmom through a Facebook group dedicated to family building. With numerous positive testimonials, we were intrigued and decided to try their at-home insemination kit for a couple of months. If we were still unsuccessful, we would revisit the idea of IUI in the new year. After ordering a one-month supply from MakeAmom, we were thrilled to find that it was all we needed! Just one month later, we were overjoyed to learn that we were expecting. Alex is now 12 weeks pregnant, with a due date of June 18, 2022! We are incredibly grateful to MakeAmom for their support during our journey.

All success stories shared here are genuine experiences from families in the MakeAmom community. Individual outcomes may differ. The MakeAmom kit does not claim to diagnose or treat medical conditions and is not designed for infertility treatment. We recommend consulting a healthcare provider if timed intercourse isn’t effective, or if using the MakeAmom kit does not result in pregnancy within six months.
