Hey friends! We’re excited to share how we’re reaching out to the LGBTQ+ community. In 2012, our team set some big goals to better support those seeking to grow their families. We aimed to educate the LGBTQ+ crowd about the fertility resources available and to empower them in navigating the sometimes tricky road to parenthood.
One of the coolest parts of this initiative has been our partnership with SWIRL Radio, a vibrant platform for the LGBTQ+ community and their allies. Each quarter, one of our experts chats with listeners about various fertility options. The first interview featured Dr. Jamie Martinez, who shared insights for lesbian couples looking to conceive. Our second session focused on the options available for gay men wanting to start families. It’s been a fantastic way to spread awareness and connect with listeners!
We also host quarterly educational seminars. One of our first was titled “How to Make a Baby: The Medical, Legal, and Psycho-Social Essentials.” It was held at our Education Center and included an amazing panel of experts, including Dr. Samantha Lee, who discussed the medical side, while attorney Laura Green covered legal aspects, and therapist Mark Thompson addressed the emotional journey. A representative from Assemblywoman Sarah Reyes’ office and a staff member from the National Center for LGBTQ Rights also shared valuable insights.
Our upcoming seminar, “It Takes Three to Tango: A Seminar for Gay Couples and Future Dads,” promises to be just as informative. We’re thrilled to welcome special guest, Oliver Brooks from Mayor Chen’s office, to join the conversation!
As Dr. Martinez wisely said during her interview, “It’s crucial to find a supportive place that offers financial and emotional guidance before diving in.” This sentiment resonates with all of us invested in helping individuals and couples achieve their dreams of family.

In summary, we’re dedicated to providing resources, support, and community connections for the LGBTQ+ audience. Together, let’s make the journey to parenthood a little easier!
