Since opening our doors in 1991, we’ve celebrated more than 50,000 births, with over 5,000 of those made possible through donated eggs.
With a straightforward online application and a transparent screening process, we are fortunate to receive thousands of applications annually. One of our dedicated donors, Emma, recently shared her inspiring journey with us.
“Initially, I was drawn to egg donation after witnessing a friend’s heart-wrenching experience following a miscarriage. Although her situation didn’t stem from broader fertility issues, it sparked deep reflections within me as I approached my late 20s. I always envisioned having children, but what if I faced challenges when the time came? Watching my friend cope with such profound loss made me wonder about couples enduring multiple miscarriages or struggling to conceive altogether. What if that became my reality someday? I felt a strong urge to help if I could.
After doing some research, I discovered the egg donation program and was amazed by the possibilities it presented. Although I knew the odds of navigating the application process and successfully donating were slim, I decided to apply, driven by the hope of making a difference. I’m grateful to have been accepted and to have completed six donations. The chance to offer multiple women the opportunity to start their families was incredibly fulfilling. Throughout this journey, I also gained valuable insights into my own fertility and learned so much about the broader fertility landscape.”
