Exciting news! Two patients from our community have been selected as finalists in the annual Heart to Heart Video Contest, hosted by Ferring Pharmaceuticals. The finalists, the Johnson Family and the Smith-Williams Family, have shared their unique stories about their journeys to parenthood. One finalist is a patient of Dr. Emily Carter from our Rockville location, while the other is under the care of Dr. Mark Thompson at our Annandale site. You can support them in this inspiring competition by voting daily between February 1 and February 15!
What’s the Heart to Heart Contest All About?
The purpose of this video essay contest is to raise awareness about infertility, a challenge faced by millions across the country. Each video showcases an individual’s or couple’s heartfelt experience, aiming to provide hope and encouragement to those on similar paths. The mantra, “Have Heart, Share Hope,” serves to foster a supportive community and remind everyone that they are not alone in their struggles.
How to Vote
Want to cast your vote? You can watch the finalists’ videos and vote! Remember, you can vote once every day during the voting period. The grand prize winner will receive a $10,000 educational fund for their child, while four runners-up will each get a $4,000 educational fund.
In the past, patients like Laura and Jake won the grand prize in 2013, thanks, in part, to the enthusiastic support from other community members. Their touching story highlighted the many challenges they overcame on their journey to parenthood. Laura expressed her gratitude, saying, “I’m incredibly thankful to Dr. Carter and the team for their support, and to Ferring for promoting such a meaningful contest that advocates for those facing infertility.”
