It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the untimely passing of our dear colleague, Jonathan Greenfield, M.D. Tragically, Jonathan lost his life in an accident on Saturday, July 28. He is survived by his wife, Emily, and their three children, Alex, Mia, and Noah.

Jonathan’s impact on our community at home and within the medical field in Washington, D.C., is immeasurable. He was a compassionate physician whose dedication to his patients was evident in every interaction. Patients cherished his expertise and appreciated how he always took the time to listen and provide support during difficult times. At work, he was known for his humor and kindness, consistently prioritizing the welfare of both patients and staff. His leadership fostered a culture of care that resonated throughout our practice, and he was instrumental in ensuring that both the business and risk management aspects ran smoothly and fairly.

Beyond his professional life, Jonathan was a devoted family man, a loving husband, son, and brother. He delighted in sharing stories about family adventures, whether it was a recent bike trip or the latest book he had read. He was also a quiet supporter of various charitable causes, working to uplift the issues close to his heart.

Jonathan will be deeply missed by his family, friends, colleagues, and the many patients he served. We plan to establish a memorial that honors his legacy and continues to support our patients in the future.
