Hey friends! We wanted to share our story about how we welcomed our little one into the world after facing some challenges. Back in December 2021, I was diagnosed with endometriosis after experiencing irregular cycles and intense pain. A laparoscopic surgery revealed tissue growth in various areas, including my uterus and left ovary, along with several endometrial polyps that were removed. It was a tough moment, knowing that infertility could be a possibility for us.
Fast forward to September 2023, I started feeling pain again. A transvaginal ultrasound showed multiple polyps, so my doctor suggested surgery to remove them. After my second procedure in November 2023, we felt hopeful since my cycles had become regular—except for that one month in December when I didn’t have a period at all. This led my fertility doctor to say that IUI wasn’t an option for us, but we discovered a glimmer of hope through at-home insemination!
With the new year of 2024 came fresh beginnings. We tracked ovulation closely and were thrilled to see a peak! We already had our insemination kit ready and a donor lined up. On the peak day, we inseminated and repeated the process the next day. To our amazement, we got a positive result just 11 days later—our first attempt! We couldn’t be more grateful for this journey.
