How We Conquered Vaginismus Together

Hey friends! So, I wanted to share our journey with vaginismus and how we managed to turn things around. My partner, Sarah, has dealt with vaginismus for as long as she can remember. Recently, she started working with a pelvic floor physical therapist and began using dilators to help relax her pelvic floor muscles. We were both feeling hopeful with her progress, but with the added stress of trying to conceive, things got tricky. I found it challenging to perform during intimate moments, and we reached a point where it felt like having a baby just wasn’t in the cards for us.

That’s when we stumbled upon a suggestion from a sex therapist to try at-home insemination. It turned out to be a game-changer for us! The syringe we found was shaped similarly to the dilators Sarah had been using, which made it super comfortable for her. This new approach allowed us to separate the act of conception from intimacy, which eased a lot of the pressure we were feeling. We ordered five kits, but guess what? We got pregnant on our very first try!

In the end, we learned that with the right tools and support, it’s possible to overcome challenges and make your dreams of parenthood a reality.
