Hey there! So, let me share a little story about my partner and me. We’ve been a couple for nine years and tied the knot about a year and a half ago. Ready to start a family, we turned to frozen sperm from a sperm bank and went through three rounds of IUI. Unfortunately, all three attempts failed, leaving us feeling pretty defeated and out of pocket to the tune of $6,900. Just when we were about to lose hope, we found a known donor who was willing to help us out, and that’s when we stumbled upon the idea of at-home insemination.
We diligently tracked my ovulation using test strips and, on the peak LH surge and ovulation day, we decided to try our hand with at-home insemination. To our delight, just 10 days later, we spotted a faint second line on the pregnancy test! The next day, we confirmed it with a digital test showing a big fat positive. Fast forward, I’m currently 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant!
A huge shoutout to everyone who has been part of our journey, especially those who shared their own experiences.
