My partner and I spent seven long years trying to start our family. We explored every avenue—starting with IUI, then adoption, back to IUI, IVF, and more adoption attempts. Throughout this journey, we poured over $80,000 of our own money into these efforts (not counting what insurance covered). About a year ago, we gave home insemination a try but didn’t see any results. After yet another adoption setback, we decided to give it another go… and guess what? Yesterday, we received our first BIG FAT POSITIVE!!! I know it’s early to be shouting it from the rooftops, but the hardest part—well, the most puzzling part—is behind us. Now, the real adventure begins!
I can’t express how thrilled I am that I researched and found this option. If only I could turn back time and start with home insemination first!
Details of Our Journey
- How long were you trying before home insemination? Seven years
- Did you try anything through a doctor? Clomid, Femara or Letrozole, HSG, IUI, IVF
- How many cycles did you use home insemination? Four
Update
Just wanted to share a quick update! Our beautiful, sweet little boy, “Z,” was born on 7/22/2020, and we can’t thank you enough! You have given us the one thing that has made our lives complete… and given me my world!
To add to our story, from getting that positive test to the maternity shoot, to the birth and beyond… none of this would have been possible without this amazing option. We feel like part of a family now, and you will always hold a special place in ours!

All success stories here are genuine experiences from families just like yours! Results may vary. Home insemination is not a substitute for medical advice. Consult your doctor if timed intercourse isn’t effective or if using home insemination doesn’t result in pregnancy within six months.
